Bay Area Molecular Neuroscience Meeting

July 20th, 2018 - UC Berkeley

The Bay Area Molecular Neuroscience Meeting (BAMNM for short) is being held for the first time at UC Berkeley, this summer! BAMNM intends to provide neuroscientists in the San Francisco Bay Area with a greater sense of community, creating an opportunity to communicate our findings locally, share technical expertise with each other, and foster new collaborations. We hope that our event will become a yearly Bay Area tradition, and will include a broad range of molecular neuroscientists: from molecular geneticists to structural biologists — anyone who thinks about how neuroscience happens at the molecular level.

In this inaugural year, BAMNM will consist of 11 speakers, 8 PIs and 3 student/postdocs, all from the Bay Area. Talks will start at 9 am and continue through the afternoon with breaks for lunch and coffee. Following these presentations will be external keynote from Professor Ardem Patapoutian (TSRI/HHMI). The meeting will conclude with a poster session and social hour, ending just after 7 pm.
